Your sewer bill covers costs for work by both CRWSD and the King County Wastewater Treatment Division.
The King County portion of your sewer bill covers costs to maintain and operate treatment plants that collect and clean wastewater, and funds projects to upgrade aging infrastructure, meet environmental regulations, and increase capacity. The King County Council sets the rate each year, and agencies like CRWSD pass costs to customers through our own rate structure.
